Adair County 4-H Teen Leadership

The purpose of the Teen Leadership Adair County program is to provide teens the opportunity to learn more about their community and its development, to provide a forum for networking, to help develop strong leadership skills, and to foster a desire to serve others.

•    To select high school freshman, sophomores, juniors, and seniors who have leadership qualities and concern for their community.

•    To present in-depth programs that will acquaint participants with community needs, opportunities,        problems, and resources, and allow interaction with community leaders and decision makers.

•    To foster students' interest in voluntary participation in their community.

•    To encourage understanding and acceptance of civic responsibilities and leadership roles.

•    To provide opportunities for students from different areas of the community to interact, express their views and opinions and develop mutual trust and respect.

TeenLeadershipAdairCounty is open to students who have an interest in the growth and improvement of AdairCounty and a desire to improve their own leadership skills.

Participants and their parents/guardians will attend an orientation/reception in September.   Monthly sessions will be held during the day during the months of September, October, November, January, February, March, and April. These will be planned on as many non-school days as possible. A graduation ceremony will be held in early May.
