It only takes a glance at current headlines to see that Kentuckians need to get serious about health. Obesity, AIDS, drug abuse, poor nutrition, sedentary lifestyles—illnesses usually associated with adulthood are now attacking children. Program areas are: Healthy lifestyles, Nutrition, Fitness and Character. Professionals in Health Education through Extension Leadership (HEEL) and Family and Consumer Sciences provide guidance to these projects.
