Cultural Arts Competition
The county Cultural Arts Competition was held on February 15th and 16th. 84 wonderful entires were brought into the county competition from 24 competitors. Entries that received 1st place at the county competition will advance to the area competition to be held on March 6th in Cumberland County.

Sue C. Stivers Scholarship
The Adair County Extension Homemakers are accepting applications for the Sue C. Stivers Scholarship in the amount of $500. Sue Stivers was the local Extension Agent for Family and Consumer Sciences for several years and made a lasting impact in the Adair County Community. Students at the University of Kentucky in the Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment perusing any degree or Lindsey Wilson College Education students are encouraged to apply. Additionally, students must be in their junior or senior year. Completed applications, with transcripts, must be submitted by midnight CST on May 31st, 2024.To pick up an application, or for clarification, please contact Dylan Gentry, Adair County Extension Agent for Family and Consumer Sciences.

The 2023 Holiday Bazaar was a huge success with 30 vendors and over 250 visitors. The 2024 Holiday Bazaar will be held on Saturday, November 23rd. Look for more information Fall 2024.

The Adair County Homemakers can be joined by visiting our office at 409 Fairground Street, Columbia KY 42728. Memberships currently cost $12 for a year per person, and is renewed every year starting in October. Membership includes our monthly newsletter, participation in homemaker programs, trips, banquets, competitions etc. Call the office for more information.
